From the main Van Campens Glen parking area turn Right onto Old Mine Road. Proceed north for 0.7 miles and park on the Left at the historic farmstead. Map
Open daily from dawn to dusk. Parking is on the grass; during inclement weather it may not be accessible.

| |  This site can be enjoyed from the parking area or by taking a walk around this historic farm. Search the pine forest for Brown Creeper, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Blackburnian and Black-throated Green Warblers, Blue-headed Vireo, Wood Thrush and Veery. The field area around the house is good for Prairie and Blue-winged Warblers, both of which nest here. Scan wires and dead branches for perched birds especially the tiny Ruby-throated Hummingbird or brilliant blue Indigo Bunting. Sharp-shinned, Cooper’s, Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawks are also a possibility. A walk through the fields in warmer months should yield many insects; butterflies, crickets and grasshoppers, dragonflies and damselflies and of course, the ubiquitous mosquito.
