This site is sure to please, with trails that penetrate pine forest and meander along the stream and provide access to the Raritan River. Sections of the trail can be moderately strenuous but views of the Raritan River winding below are worth the hike. Fishing access trails that exist in the northern section of the property come in handy for wildlife watching. The river may be good for viewing waterfowl such as Mallard, Gadwall, Common Merganser and Ruddy Duck, to name a few. During spring migration the pine forest habitat may attract Blackburnian, Pine, Black-throated Green, Blackpoll and Yellow-rumped Warblers. During an irruption year, wintering Pine Siskin or Red-breasted Nuthatch may make use of the pines.
