Stop and ScanSITE DESCRIPTION:  The primary purpose of Hampton Borough Park is recreation but follow the main drive all the way to the back of park for an up-close view of the Musconetcong River. Walk the trail through a restored riparian buffer that covers the floodplain. Admire native plants that are good examples of flood-tolerant species. Benches dot the area; take a break and enjoy the view. Wildlife viewing can be unpredictable, but with any luck there might be a Bald Eagle fishing on the river. Trout fishing is good in the Musconetcong River; consider bringing a fishing pole and spend a few hours relaxing by the river. Launching and landing of canoes, kayaks and tubes is permitted.
